Pressed bisque socket head with deeply defined facial features, almond-shaped deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecut, painted lashes, brushstroked brows with feathered highlights, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden early eight-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, body is correct size and of the same period but not original. Marks: F. 10 G. (head) Sch (in shield on body). Comments: Francois Gaultier, circa 1880.
