14" (36 cm) overall length, chair and stool. A miniature wooden chair in the style known as Duchesse Brise, in which an elongated chair has curved front frame that perfectly fits the shape of the stool front, making the assembled pair appear as though a chaise lounge, with rich original gold leaf finish, burgundy silk cover. French, early 19th century. An extremely rare find of the miniature furniture. Excellent condition.
