Description
8 1/2" (22 cm). One-piece all-bisque figure of handsome young boy with blonde sculpted hair in pageboy style, downcast eyes, closed mouth with tip of cigarette in mouth, legs modeled askance, posed against a sack to be used as flower vase, sculpted and painted costume. Condition: generally excellent, tip of cigarette is missing. Marks: Gebruder Heubach (blue sunburst stamp). Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1900. Value Points: very expressive face, costume has unusual flake-crusted finish over the elaborate painted designs giving a velvet and brocade like effect.
