12" (30 cm). Pressed bisque socket head with rounded facial modeling, brown glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with flat-cut derriere. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sch (head and derriere) 3 (incised on head). Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1882. Value Points: very dear miniature Schmitt bebe is quite rare, with captivating expression and bisque, original body and body finish, antique dress, undergarments, leather boots.
