4"h chair (10 cm). Of cast brass with well-detailed embossed carving, and having rose silk upholstery with hand-painted scenes in the Watteau manner, the set comprises two side chairs and a table with unusual shape and bombe sides; the lid of the table hinges open to reveal hidden interior that is also silk lined. Excellent condition. Circa 1875, France.
