13" (33 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta slender lady, her head turned to the side, black sculpted hair with arranged curls framing the face and long flowing curls onto the shoulders, deeply-set eye sockets, enamel eyes, gentle smile with closed lips, modeled bosom, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings and black shoes with red buckles, wearing original paper-edged silk costume and carrying basket. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, unique coiffure with especially deeply-comb-marked details.
