12" (30 cm). Pressed bisque socket head with very pale bisque, brown glass enamel inset eyes, delicately painted lashes and lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, red silk dress, ruffled hat, undergarments, knit stockings, and black leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Jumeau (incised within cartouche, see photo) 1 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1878,the model with this mark was made for only one year. Value Points: among the rarest of the Jumeau bebes, with most endearing expression and delicate bisque, made yet more appealing in this petite size with eight-loose-ball-jointed body.
