Bisque socket head, large brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eye socket, very thick upper eyeliner, painted lashes, widely arched fringed brows, rose eye shadow, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with tiny stuck-out tongue tip, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bru Jne R 13. Comments: Bru, epoch Girard, circa 1892. Value Points: an exceptionally fine example of the Girard-era Bru bebe whose fine larger size is enhanced by choicest sculpting, bisque and painting, luminous eyes, original body and body finish.
