Description
17"l (45 cm). Contained within a heavy cardboard box is a folded school room and accessories; the base of the box serves as the parquet school floor, and the three walls fit inside the base to form a room structure. The walls feature an open eight-pane window, maps, blackboards, and clock. The room has four double student desks with attached benches and eight small bisque dolls as students. The nun teacher stands at the front of the room at her desk and lectern stage. Inside the box lid are a number of paper accessories for teaching instruction. Excellent condition. French, circa 1890.
