Description
9" (23 cm). Solid domed bisque swivel head on kid- edged bisque torso, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted white stockings with unusual ribbed pattern and peach painted heeled shoes with bow ties, ivory silk dress and cape. Condition: generally excellent, small chip at top of each leg. Comments: probably Simon and Halbig, for the French market, circa 1885. Value Points: rare larger size, unusual shoes, swivel head, closed mouth, beautiful painting, included is miniature Borzoi dog.
