Description
21"h (53 cm). Maîtres quality wooden secretaire with double-door bookcase top has slanted desk top with intricate compartments and leather writing surface inside, above four working drawers. The desk is ebony-black finish decorated richly with Oriental scenes in shades of gold and tan; the interior is red lacquer with gold abstract designs. From an exhibition series of maîtres furniture made in France, circa 1980,the furniture is completely handmade and decorated; the painting is unique to this piece only.
