Description
Each 7" (18 cm). Three all-bisque Scootles, each with sculpted hair having characteristic curls onto forehead, tucked in face with painted side-glancing eyes, and wide beaming smile, loop-joined arms with chubby starfish-modeled fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Rose O'Neill c. (foot of each) Japan (stamp on torso of each). Comments: Scootles, circa 1925,designed by Rose O'Neill. Value Points: the cheerful trio wear their original wedding party costumes, the groom with over-painted black hair and shoes, and black crepe paper suit; the bride with bare feet, satin wedding gown, bouquet and (worn) veil; and the bridesmaid with painted pink shoes, blue satin gown with tulle and floral trim.
