Description
Each 3"-5" (7-13 cm). Each of five postcards is decorated with an attached cloth bonnet, in silk or cotton, decorated with lace and flower buds, and a message wishing happiness in the future from St. Catherine. A French tradition is sending a message of cheer to women who reach their 25th birthday still unwed. The cards are preserved in an original box addressed to Mademoiselle Madelaine Penon, and one card is dated 1911.
