Very thick paste porcelain shoulderhead with unusual matte glaze, brown painted sculpted hair drawn away from face into braided chignon with curls tumbling onto the neck and variegated flowers behind each fully modeled ear, slender facial modeling with very elongated throat, sculpted eye sockets with painted blue/grey eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, lightly feathered brows, circle-accented nostrils, closed mouth with wide center line, muslin stitch-jointed body with leather arms, green silk taffeta gown. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 56 000. Comments: attributed to Schlaggenwald, circa 1850. Value Points: very rare model with exquisite detail of modeling, rarer brown painted hair with detailed stippling around the forehead.
