17" (43 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, large blue glass enamel inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid-over- wood body with shapely torso, kid over metal upper arms, dowel-jointing at hips and knees with _baggy" kid leg covers on the knees, bisque forearms, nicely costumed in black silk taffeta. Condition: generally excellent, some finger repair on right hand. Comments: circa 1870. Value Points: beautiful facial sculpting with dramatic large eyes, lovely bisque, rare body style.
