5" (13 cm). White bisque socket head with painted clown features, blue inset glass eyes, closed mouth, two color mohair wig, five-piece paper mache body with painted black boots. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SL. Comments: attributed to Louis Schneider, circa 1890,the Parisian doll firm operated for a few years only. Value Points: rare maker's doll in most unusual petite size with wonderful clown decorations, original wig, body, body finish, clown costume.
