Cloth pressed and oil painted face in portraiture depicting George Washington, painted grey hair with stitched detail drawn away from face, have sideburns and shaped ponytail, shaded blue eyes with white eyedots, black upper eyeliner, painted upper lashes, painted brows, aquiline nose, closed mouth with accented lips, firmly shaped chin, all cloth stitch-jointed body, oil painted hands with defined fingers and painted nails, well costumed in 18th century style. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Martha Chase, circa 1900. Value Points: one of the rarest models of the American cloth doll maker, the doll aptly portrays the American President, retains fine original painting and sculpture unique to this model.
