19" (48 cm). Of chocolate brown muslin the all- cloth doll has flat-dimensional face with outlined and painted facial features, eye and nose outlines and shadows, closed mouth with outlined lips, shaded grey hair under original cotton bandana, bangle earrings, simply constructed body with shape-cut bent elbows, stitch-jointing at hips, original cotton skirt and blouse, glass beads. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: paper tag attached to the doll indicates the doll was named "Jaddah" and she was created about 1892. Value Points: especially fine detail of painted facial features, original costume, fine state of preservation.
