12 1/2" (32 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head, bald head except brown sculpted curls in front of each ear, deeply-impressed character lines depicting an older man with kindly demeanor, closed mouth, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings and black shoes with red buckles, wearing simple town costume and carrying kidskin sack. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
