Description
21" (53 cm). Bisque socket head with rounded facial modeling, blue glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, incised eyeliner, short brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, outlined lips, two porcelain teeth, tongue, brunette human hair, composition bent limb baby body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 10 Jutta 1914 12 1/2. Comments: Simon and Halbig for Dressel, circa 1915. Value Points: the rarely-found model has distinctive and most appealing expression, with deeply impressed dimples and philtrum, laughter lines around the eyes, choice bisque, original body and body finish.
