Description
12" x 7" (30 x 18 cm). A wooden box with decorative paper covers in the Art Nouveau style hinges open to an elaborately fitted interior, containing a tin toy sewing machine with stenciled designs, wooden handle, cast iron spoked wheel, along with various sewing tools, samplers, threads, and other sewing ephemera. For the French market, circa 1900. Excellent unplayed with condition of the richly fitted menage.
