19" (48 cm). Solid domed bisque socket head with stringing loop at lower neck, painted brown brushstroked hair with forelock detail, intaglio dark blue eyes with white eyedots, black and incised upper eyeliner, short brushstroked brows, rounded nose with accent dots, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined dimpled lips, composition and wooden ball- jointed body, black velvet boy's Sunday best suit, saddle shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 7 Germany (head) (holz-masse stamp on torso). Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1910. Value Points: very expressive facial features enhanced by deeply impressed dimples, fine quality of bisque and painting, original body with signature.
