16" (40 cm). Brown-complexioned bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes, black brushstroked and multi- feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth with outlined lips, row of porcelain teeth, pierced ears, black mohair curly wig, French brown composition and wooden fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Dep 6. Comments: Jumeau/SFBJ, circa 1900. Value Points: rare brown-complexioned bebe has outstanding quality of painting with soft rose blush on cheeks, the bisque enhanced by fine dewy patina, original body, body finish, wig, and wonderfully detailed antique boy's wool and velvet costume.
