Description
11" x 8" box (28 x 20 cm). A wooden presentation box is covered inside and outside with decorative papers in the Art Nouveau manner and gilt lettering "Service de Toilette". The lid hinges open to reveal mirror-lined shelved interior containing a blown glass elaborate toilette set comprising large bowl and pitcher, smaller bow, two trays, handled pot, along with various bone brushes and combs, toilet water, sponge, all still tied to the presentation box. Excellent condition. French, circa 1890. A rare set that is richly embellished with blue edging and white beading.
