19" (48 cm). Paper mache shoulderhead with slender facial shape and elongated throat depicting adult woman, black painted pate, dark blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, pink kid fashion body with gusset jointing, stitched and separated fingers, antique costume. Condition: very good, nose rub, few craze lines, kid fingers worn. Comments: France, circa 1850. Value Points: very elegantly posed face and shoulders, lovely original painting of the early doll.
