Description
28" (71 cm). Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eye cuts, painted dark lashes, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows with enhancing decorative glaze, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded and accented lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: L 1/2 made in Germany 15 1/2 (head) Excelsior Germany (body). Comments: Kestner, circa 1900. Value points: pretty child with original body and body finish, well defined sculpting and choice bisque, antique costume.
