20" (51 cm). Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark painted lashes, incised eyeliner, thick brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded and accented lips, two porcelain teeth, brunette mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball- jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: D made in Germany 13 143. Comments: Kestner, circa 1915. Value Points: most endearing character with fine quality bisque and painting, original wig, pate, body, body finish.
