A wooden room setting with stagelike open front is decorated with original patterned turquoise wall paper and canopy tops, parquet-patterned floor, with two glass windows fitted with silk and lace curtains below canopy tops, and furnished with whitewood furniture decorated with floral decoupage and gilt paper borders; furniture includes bed with lace-draped canopy top, dressing table with mirror, armoire with mirror, night table, settee and five chairs and oval parlor table; the furnishings are upholstered in pale blue silk to match the curtains. Victor Bolant of Paris who specialized in boxed room settings of miniature furnishings, the successor to Badeuille, according to "The Encyclopedia of French Dolls", by Theimer. Circa 1890.
