Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecut, painted lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded and outlined lips, two porcelain teeth, tongue, blonde mohair wig, composition bent limb baby body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: M made in Germany 16 JDK 237 Ges Gesch N 1070. Comments: Kestner, circa 1913,an early version of their trademarked Hilda baby. Value Points: very beautiful wide-eyed character baby with fine quality of bisque and painting, very elaborate antique costume includes embroidered white wool baby coat and bonnet, lace- trimmed batiste gown.
