14" (35 cm). Bisque socket head, deeply sculpted facial features with impressed laughter lines around the eyes, painted light blue eyes with large black pupils, black and incised eyeliner, short stroke brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: H. W. & Co (script) 2. Comments: possibly Heinrich Handwerck, circa 1910,during the era of the art character dolls. Value Points: very rare model with mystery markings, wonderfully expressive features, choice bisque, original body and body finish.
