Description
14" doll (35 cm), 28"h armoire (71 cm). Walnut wooden armoire with arched crest top, bottom drawer and double front paneled doors with bronze mounts, opens to reveal a beautifully-fitted interior with three shelves laden with linens, towels, quilted covers, and such all tied onto the shelves with red silk ribbons, and centered by a bisque headed doll with brilliant blue glass eyes, wearing original chemise. The inside of doors are decorated with muslin lining and pinned with various accessories. French, circa 1890,the arrangements were featured in Paris department store catalogs of that era. Excellent condition of the unplayed with rare menage.
