Description
13" x 8" (33 x 20 cm). A wooden stage-like platform with brass trims and porcelain tipped handle supports a garden like setting in which two small bisque-headed dolls are seated under a gazebo at a tea party. The table is set with pewter and wooden dishes and when the handle is turned music plays and the dolls alternately tilt their heads, lift the tea cups and "sip" tea. Excellent condition. Germany, probably Zinner and Sohne, circa 1900. Value points: appealing mechanical toy with wonderful fantasy setting of gentle garden scene.
