11"l x 7"h (28 x 18 cm). A heavy cardboard folding room depicts a late 19th century parlor, with original decorative wall paper, floor papers and gilt embossed borders, the walls decorated with gilt framed mirrors and lithographs, and the room furnished with fireplace having ormolu clock, pianoforte, table, settee, and six chairs, the furniture with original toile fabric upholstery. The room is designed to fold down and be stored in original box that also forms the frame of the room (lid of box not included). France, circa 1890, a charming and wonderfully preserved tiny room.
