Description
11" x 9" (28 x 23 cm) box. 3" (7 cm) carafe. A heavy cardboard box with colorful lithographed lid depicting the children's parade outside the chateau walls, has paper lace edging that borders a miniature pale amber patterned glass luncheon service. The set comprising carafe with stopper, four glasses, bowl and four plates. The box has its original paper label from Au Nain Bleu, with Chauviere designation. Excellent condition, a rare service in intricate design and unplayed with condition. French, circa 1885.
