Description
16" (40 cm). Bisque socket head, dark blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eyeshadow, thick brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair ringlet-curled wig over cork pate, French composition fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, body appropriately sized and of the period but not original (Steiner). Marks: A 7 T. Comments: Thuillier, circa 1890. Value Points: very endearing expression on the rare model with excellent quality of bisque and painting, beautiful antique silk dress, straw bonnet, French leather shoes.
