11" (28 cm.) upright. 10" table diameter. 7" table h. The circular walnut table with pedestal base is designed to tilt in upright position when not in use as a table, and is enhanced by finely-shaped ogee edging and remarkable table top inlays of various exotic woods and mother-of-pearl in star and diamond patterns. Excellent condition. Early 1800s, the intricate workmanship and elaborate locking device for table stability suggests its original construction as a maitrise model.
