Description
7" (18 cm.) h. tables. Arranged upon the tables are various polychromed terra cotta foodstuffs including basket with hinged lid holding various fruits, another basket with two enamel-eyed terra cotta birds seated atop a bounty of grapes and lemons, wooden plate with tiny nuts, and a copper tea kettle. The matched pair of tables, early 1800s, are designed to use in various ways: as shown, table top hinged open and posed against the wall, tables pushed together, or tables with leaves extended and jointed to form a large banquet table. Excellent condition. Foods are Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
