Of dark red wool in very lightweight texture, the sailor dress has dropped waist, fitted yoke hidden under very wide V-shaped collar that extends entirely around the back, rounded neckline, box pleats below the yoke forming blouson bodice, box pleats below the hips, elbow length very full sleeves with constructed bands. The dress is trimmed with narrow bands of black velvet ribbon centered by white applique flowers and lace, and has red silk sash with large bow at the back, hook- and-eye closure, fully lined bodice. To fit doll about 18". 5" shoulder width. 11" overall length.
