Description
Of ice blue silk, the princess-styled dress has 14 pearl buttons with handmade buttonholes, dropped waist with unusual V-shaped hips, long coat sleeves with turned-up cuffs, blue silk lower skirt with a wide band of ruching above box pleats at the front, box pleats at the back, dart- shaped back torso. The dress is extravagantly trimmed with wide borders of cutwork that extend to form pleated draping over the hips, and there is a blue silk sash that ties at the front and a dramatically large blue silk bow at the back. Along with tulle bonnet box-pleated tulle edging and lavish silk ribbon frou-frou at the crown. Originally a child's dress, it would appropriately fit a doll about 38". 8" shoulder width.
