20" (51 cm). Pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled detail of bosom and shoulderblades, rich brown glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecut, painted lashes, mauve blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate,kid bebe body based upon original deposed Bru model with square cut collarette, curved kid upper arms, bisque forearms with separately sculpted fingers, gusset-jointing of hips and knees, antique white batiste gown and undergarments. Condition: generally excellent, left thumb and forefinger reglued. Marks: 8 (head and shoulderplate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his Bebe Brevete, the earliest model bebe with deposed body style, circa 1880. Value Points: very beautiful early gentle-faced bebe with luminous brown eyes enhanced by rich decoration and eye shadow, very sturdy original body.
