Description
24" (61 cm). Bisque socket head, small blue glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, incised eyeliner, feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, open mouth, laughing expression, shaded and outlined lips, two porcelain lower teeth, tongue, brunette mohair wig over plaster pate, composition bent limb baby body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: G made in Germany 211 JDK 20. Comments: Kestner, circa 1915. Value Points: wonderful detail of sculpting and bisque on the life-size character, wearing antique sailor costume.
