Description

18" (46 cm). Bisque socket head with plump facial modeling, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth with slightly parted accented lips, four porcelain teeth, brunette human hair, composition and wooden eight-loose-ball- jointed body with straight wrists, lovely costume. Condition: generally excellent, complexion inconsistency on forehead appears original to the doll. Marks: WSK 3. Comments: Wiesenthal, Schindel & Kallenberg of Waltershausen, circa 1890,the firm exhibited at the World's Fair of Chicago in 1893. Value Points: dolls by this maker are very rare to find,this example with most endearing expression, original body and body finish.
