Description
5 1/2" (14 cm). Dark brown complexioned bisque socket head, black glass inset eyes, painted lashes, closed mouth, attached to wooden shaped torso with wire spring mechanism in legs, wire upper arms, wooden forearms. When left leg is moved up and down he moves his right arm as though clapping the cymbals he holds in his hands. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2. Comments: circa 1880. Value Points: amusing little toy with simple action is perfectly preserved with original costume, mechanism, fine bisque on rarer brown-complexioned doll.
