Description
9" (23 cm). Solid domed bisque socket head with painted brown boyish hair, detailed forelock curl, painted blue upper glancing eyes, single stroke brown brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with impish smile, dimpled cheeks and chin, composition and wooden ball- jointed body, antique knit suit. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: B 3/0 (impressed) S&Co (green stamp). Comments: Swaine & Co, circa 1915. Value Points: most endearing cheerful expression enhanced by wonderful detail of hair, choice bisque on the rare model.
