16" (40 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with richly accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, carton torso with shapely waist that is hollow and separates for use as candy box, paper mache lower legs with silk stockings and shoes, bisque forearms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2. Comments: circa 1875,the elegant lady was offered in candy box form by prestigious bon-bon shops such as Siraudin that were mentioned in La Poupee Modele. Value Points: perfectly preserved rare doll presentation, wearing original organdy gown with rose silk trim, matching cape and bonnet, is extremely rare.
