Description
13" overall (33 cm). A heavy paper candy cone with silk covering is trimmed with lavish lace and silk ribbons, its peak enclosing a bisque doll head with blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, brunette mohair wig, bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: made for exclusive Parisian confiserie with bisque head by Gaultier, circa 1885. Value Points: extravagant and luxurious silk candy cornet is wonderfully preserved.
