Description
20" (51 cm). Amber-brown-complexioned bisque socket head, large brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, black painted lashes and widely arched brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with coral-shaded lips, black mohair curly wig over cork pate, French brown-complexioned composition and wooden fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E. 8 D. Comments: Denamur, circa 1890. Value Points: rare complexion on this model, with most pleasing patina and color complemented by delicate lip coloring, original body and body finish, antique maroon woolen dress, sous sleeves, apron with handwork, undergarments, bonnet, leather shoes impressed with full figure of doll.
