Description
6 1/2" x 5" (16 x 13 cm). Heavy board box with faux-wood grained sides and gilt edging, has checkerboard top. The lid removes to reveal 12 miniature chocolate boxes, each with colorfully lithographed decoration of children in party costumes. In compartments on either side are ebony or natural wooden buttons for use in playing checkers. A superb and deluxe French parlor toy is incorporated into exclusive candy box. French, circa 1885. Perfectly preserved original condition.
