15" (38 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, almond shaped blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, ears pierced into head, original brunette mohair wig over cork pate, shapely carton torso with defined waist, bisque lower arms with elegantly sculpted fingers, cone-shaped carton lower torso extending to bottom of skirt with opening lid at base for use as candy container. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2 (head). Comments: French, the candy box was especially commissioned by luxury confiserie for presentation of candies, circa 1875. Value Points: superb original condition of the rare early bisque fashion lady as boite de bon-bon, wearing original grey muslin gown with mauve and purple silk and buttons that completely disguises her "secret", with bisque hands.
