12" (30 cm). A bisque-headed doll with blue glass enamel inset eyes, one stroke brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips,blonde mohair wig, is attached to a taufling-gowned hollow body that separates at the middle for access to hidden candy box. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F.G. (scroll,head) Bonnet Depose (candy box bottom). Comments: the taufling-styled candy box was a popular presentation box at baptisms, based upon the 1866 depose of Felix Egrefeuil. Value Points: wonderfully preserved candy box, the doll wears its original taufling gown, bonnet, lace-edged bib with gilt lettering "Suzanne".
